Melanie worked as a park ranger for the City of Chico and spent 17 years working for Monterey County Sheriff's Office. She worked patrol and also spent many years on the search and rescue team. She attended WCPR after being diagnosed with PTSI (Post Traumatic Stress Injury). She returns as an active peer and is passionate about the program and the magic that occurs at the retreats. The program gave her the tools to reconnect with family, friends and most important herself. PTSI is an epidemic in Law Enforcement and it has become her passion to lift the silent stigma.
