Eva Tak, MFT

Eva is a peer/clinician at WCPR. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, as well as a 21 year law enforcement veteran. Retired as a lieutenant with the Richmond Police Department, she served 18 years on the Crisis/Hostage Negotiation Team, leaving as the team commander. She worked numerous assignments, enjoying patrol the most. Eva has a private psychotherapy practice in El Dorado Hills, working with adults and couples. She specializes in trauma recovery, PTSD, depression, anxiety, EMDR, couples relationship issues and is trained in Emotional Focused Couples Therapy. She works with emergency responders, military personnel and their families, and EMDR with medical issues. She is a board member of the Sacramento Valley Chapter of California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, member of the El Dorado Peer Support Team, Placer County CISM Team and EMDR International Association. Eva is also married to a retired police officer.
